A walnut slab foyer, hall, or lobby table with a welded rebar (steel reinforcement bar) frame

Solid walnut slab flowing with a wavy grain pattern and visible chatoyance. The intricate decay edge and weathered end have been preserved with an epoxy treatment and the entire piece is finished in a medium sheen catalyzed lacquer. It's impossible to catch the glimmer of this "cat's eye" in a photo.

On a steel base of angle iron and rebar in a sanded finish with clear lacquer applied.
